About

Ordered off work, on disability in the midst of the pandemic…there was not much for me to do. Getting their nails done was impossible, so I picked up a 16 year hobby of doing my own nails again. Simultaneously (because with ADHD I can never have just one thing I am working on) I also started working on making jewelry again (of which I have closer to 20 years of experience in. I couldn’t find the cute kind of jewelry that she wanted at a price I could afford being on disability so it was easier to make the images I pictured in my brain, since I had the supplies. When the lockdowns lifted and I engaged with people and they saw my nails and jewelry they would ask where they could get them from. From there, I came up with the idea to do press on nails as I can’t sit down and do other people’s nails… but I could make some press ons. I then saw the need for having the ability to custom size the nail to the nail bed so then the wearer does not have to file away the design for them to fit. So the concept of KA-Y-EE Rose was born.
